Miscellaneous

Palette Knife

Palette

Paper Towels

Odorless Turpentine (Thin-X) or Gamsol
Painting Medium (We use a mixture of 1 part stand oil to 4 parts Thin-X or Gamsol) We mix this up in a container prior to outdoor painting.
Liquin or a fast drying gel medium-helps to get the initial layer to set-up
Zec (optional) by Grumbacher – this will be used in the final layers to build up the paint and gives the paint more body.

Brush Washer

Medium Cup

Trash Bag

Canvas – 8”x10”, 9”x12” and 11”x 14” are good travel sizes.
Ease l– Pam uses a Julianne French Easel and David uses a Gloucester Easel.

(These easels are being manufactured again at www.takeiteasel.com 508-237-4801)

Please note: While we recommend making your own painting medium of 1 part Stand oil to 4 parts Thin-X, you may use whatever painting medium you prefer. Please be sure to mix the stand oil and thin-x into a non-spill container PRIOR to the workshop. It’s not a fun task to do outdoors while your trying to paint!

An empty plastic bottled water container works well.
